Food Safety Sense specialise in level 2 food safety courses, accredited by the chartered institute of environmental health, throughout Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas. This accredited qualification is a more in depth course than the basic food hygiene courses. Level 2 food safety courses are designed to address the food safety needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors.
The UK and European Food Hygiene Regulations require all persons involved in food handling to be trained in food safety hygiene. |

The Level 2 food safety course is a one day course, delivered in a professional but friendly atmosphere with no classroom nerves, with the emphasis on you passing the exam. We can train in house for large companies and also arrange venues to suit the needs of the client. For smaller groups of 5 people or less, the training mostly takes place at the Food Safety Sense premises.
The course covers all the subjects required in food hygiene safety including food preparation, food storage and hygiene, pest control, premises and equipment maintenance, providing a full understanding of what is involved in food safety and hygiene.

Food Hygiene Certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of issue, holders of Food Hygiene Certificates older than 3 years must either sit a refresher course or re-sit the full course again. We are able to provide refresher courses to customers holding a Food Hygiene Certificate of any age.
